FAQ

What's the best way to supply artwork?

It’s best to send either .ai / .eps / .psd / .pdf. The artwork needs to be set-up at print size with a resolution of 300 dpi or above. Each colour needs to be on a separate layer and fonts need to be outlined. Please note that we can’t print full bleed so artwork will need a border of at least 10 mm on all sides.

What is your turnaround time?

We do our best to stick to 10 working days, though this can be subject to change in busier periods. If you need your job done in a hurry we can usually accommodate that but a rush fee may be added.

What type of inks do you use?

We only use water based screen printing inks. For paper we use Aqua Art which is unrivalled in quality of finish and strong, bold colour. The inks can be thinned to create transparent overlays and can be mixed to match Pantone references. For fabric we use both Permaset Aqua and Magnaprint Eco pigments and binders the combination of which offers great coverage, wash stability and soft feel.

How many colours can you print?

On fabric / apparel the maximum we can print is four. On paper it’s technically limitless, though time and cost need to be considered. Please email to discuss.

What’s the maximum print size for t-shirts?

The print size is determined by what will comfortably fit on the smallest t-shirt in the print run. Maximum dimensions are approx. 400 x 500 mm

What's the maximum print size for paper?

The largest paper size we can print is A1 / B1.

Can I change the print colour mid-run?

Yes! There will be an additional charge of £10 to cover the time taken to washout the screen and start over.

Do you deliver?

Yes! We usually work on a collection only basis, however if you do need something delivered it can be arranged at cost. We use Addison Lee courier service within London and UPS / DPD for further afield. Please email for prices.

What's the best way to setup artwork?

Files need to be provided with each colour on separate layer and all text outlined but basic print prep / bit mapping is included with each job. Any extra work required (colour separation, trapping etc) may incur an additional charge. You will be sent a print preview before going ahead with the job to approve any changes.

Do you have minimum quantities?

Technically no, however setup fees per job are fixed so the larger the order the cheaper cost per unit. If you’ve just gotta have that 1 of 1 print done and are happy to pay for it, we’ll be happy to do it.

Can you match colours?

Yes! For paper printing we can match any coated Pantone reference (for best results these must be picked from a solid coated Pantone book). It’s trickier for fabric inks as the garment colour has to be taken into account, but we can mix colours with reasonable accuracy. It’s often best to look at colours in person and we always welcome clients into the studio to discuss options in person.

Do you supply t-shirts?

Yes! We can source shirts from any of the major wholesale companies. Gildan Soft /Heavy range are very popular for those on a budget but if you’re after a more premium product we highly recommend Earth Positive t-shirts from Continental Clothing.

Do you supply paper?

Yes! We stock Heritage White 315 gsm from John Purcell Papers as standard. We’ve found it to be a winning combination of quality and affordability. Other papers are available including GF Smith Colorplan range and Somerset fine art papers. Please email with your requirements and we’ll be happy to advise.

Can I supply my own t-shirts / paper?

Yes! There is some limits to what we can print though, please email for details. You will also need to allow for wastage / miss-prints. Although we do our best to keep this to a minimum it is a hand done process and mistakes will happen.

How long do you keep my screens for after the job is completed?

Unfortunately we don’t have the space or the number of screens to keep them once a job has been completed, however we do offer a discounted set up fee on all re-prints.
